This document discusses the endovascular management of carotid artery dissection through stent-supported angioplasty, particularly in patients who were poor candidates for medical therapy. A retrospective study involving 10 patients demonstrated significant improvement in stenosis and clinical outcomes, with no procedural complications such as strokes or transient ischemic attacks. The findings suggest that endovascular stent placement is a safe and effective treatment for selected cases of carotid dissection associated with hemodynamic instability or thromboembolic events despite conventional treatments.
