This study evaluates the expression of BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes in premenopausal Mexican women with breast cancer, revealing low BRCA1 expression associated with aggressive disease characteristics and advanced clinical stages. Analysis of 62 patients highlighted major risk factors such as high body mass index and family history. The findings suggest that younger women with breast cancer exhibit distinct clinical and molecular profiles, with BRCA1 expression influencing disease severity but not related to BRCA2 expression.
