2. The Foundation seeks to provide support for the Academy of Information Technology at Carencro High School.
Carencro High School’s Academy of Information Technology is a member program of the
National Academy Foundation (NAF), operates as a “school within a school,” and has sister
academies located in high schools nationwide.
• Recipient of the 2007 Aldo Papone Award for Leadership in Academy High Performance, one
of six programs in the nation which were recognized with this award.
• Member of NAF’s ASPIRE cohort, twenty-four NAF academies recognized as exemplary
programs from among NAF’s 520+ academies.
• Hosted the rst “Distinguished” ASPIRE Design Studio on Community Engagement During the
Internship Process, where the Academy best practices were demonstrated to academies from
throughout the nation.
• Academy sta has given 3 national presentations on Academy best practices.
