Piaget studied how children learn through observation. He noticed that with assistance from someone more expert, learners are able to solve problems at a higher level than when working independently. Learning occurs differently for every student, but every student is capable of learning with help from a teacher. There are five categories of learning outcomes and several theories of learning, including association learning through classical conditioning, operant conditioning, and verbal conditioning.
