This document defines percent of regulation as the difference between a generator's no-load terminal voltage and full-load terminal voltage, divided by the full-load terminal voltage and multiplied by 100. It provides an example of calculating the 5% regulation of a generator with a no-load voltage of 462V and full-load voltage of 440V. The lower the percent of regulation, the better the performance of the generator.
