Motorcycle is a two wheeled vehicle used in many fields ranging from sports,commuting,long
distance travelling and racing .The building of motorcycle is believed to have began as early as
1890 and have underwent a great revolution to date.
10) Harley Davidson WLA
Manufactured by Harley Davidson for the United States Army during the Second World War. It
has slight difference from the civilian model WL .It has fenders meant to prevent it from
clogging in the mud. This model is installed with the blackout lights purposely to be used when
driving with a convoy at night. Since its meant for war it has both the windshield and leg-guards
that acts as protection to the rider. Its production lasted over 1940-1945 and also between
1949 and 1952 in which approximately 90,000 bikes were produced. There has been no
production of the WLA but many motorcycle manufacturers have used it as an inspiration.

2. 9) BMW R50/5, R60/5 and R75/5
The BMW vintage motorcycle is believed to be the most reliable motorcycle ever built. BMW
assembled these bikes in Spandau suburb of Berlin. Manufactured between 1970 and 1973 and
later replaced by the /six series. They are among the first bikes to feature an electric starter
with a telescopic fork. The series is believed to have produced among the best and the fastest
with a high speed of 110mph.The BMW series has an air cooled four stroke engine with an
hemispherical combustion chamber hence making it powerful and capable of traversing over
the long distance.

Henderson introduced it in 1929 that featured in a series of 40 bhp engines. The bike was built
by the two brothers Tom and Bill Henderson .The unique features of the bike were the
illuminated speedometer placed on top of the fuel tank; the bike featured improved cooling,
five main bearing crankshafts and downdraft carburetion. The motorbike has rated as one of
the bikes with the lowest consumption and maintenance. The bike was efficient while riding on
hilly and rough terrain hence it was suitable for such areas. In the recent past, the motorbikes
have been revived and still on use up to date.

It’s a British motorcycle made by Triumph Motorcycle Company. The initial plans and design
have been traced back to 1990, but it was launched in 2006.The engine capacity of 865cc with
an eight valve that almost resembles that of a Triumph the Bonneville, however, the Triumph
Scrambler engine has been made tough giving it a lower end grunt. With its 90% power
available from the engine making it run at about 2500rpms.The physical structure is highly
enhanced having chunky knobby tires with a sturdy twin pipe making a classic bike of all times.

The motorcycle was produced in 1930 by Matchless and had been designed by Bert Collier. It’s
a luxury motorcycle fitted with classic features of four-cylinder machine propulsion. It has a
single bevel gear that ran across the silver head to the individual cooling cylinders that
prevented it from overheating. Engine capacity of 592cc with a top speed of 80-85 mph .Making
appearance even in today’s market unlike the previous years where it had a sloppy marketing
effort. Matchless followers have described it as a fascinating machine ever made.

7. 4) Velocette Viper.
It’s a British motorcycle made by Velocette between the years of 1955 and 1968.The
manufacturing of the bike was more of depended on the traditional methods and materials
making it a unique machine in a world of the modern motorcycle. In 1960, the fiberglass
enclosure was added making it the world first enclosed motorcycle. The bike's engine capacity
is 349cc with a bimetal cylinder having a high compression. Amazingly the motorbike holds the
Guinness world record of cruising for 24 hours at 100mph.

8. 3) Hercules Wankel 2000
It’s a product of Germany produced by Hercules. It was the first motorcycle to be built with a
Wankel engine (Rotary engine) which is conceptually more superior to the two-cycle engines
that were mostly used in 1970. Designed in the late 1960 and shown in German trade show in
1970.The primary production started in 1974.The engine capacity of 294cc can move at a speed
of 90mph.The maintenance involved adding of oil to the fuel tank to lubricate it though later in
1976 a separate oil tank was placed thus solving the problem.

It’s a British Norton-Villers motorcycle with a parallel twin engine produced between 1967
upto1977.The motorbike has an engine capacity of about 850cc making it popular all over the
world at its time of production. It highest possible speed is about 115mph.The design used to
build the Commando was developed by Engineer Bauer, who tried to free the machine from the
classic twin vibrations which had severely increased after the expansion of engine capacity from
