World Tuberculosis Day 2017 - Tuberculosis situation in the EU/EEA, 2015
- The number of TB cases in the EU/EEA decreased by 30% from 2006 to 2015 while the notification rate decreased by 37% over this period. - The highest notification rate in 2015 was observed in the 25-44 year old age group. Males had higher notification rates than females in most age groups. - Treatment success rates for TB cases remained stable around 72-75% from 2005-2014. The treatment success rate for MDR TB cases was lower at 40.4%.
