H ow  T hings  H appen? Why do you eat food? You eat because you have to get energy for living. You need energy for walking, talking, running, playing, and doing every kind of work. Animals and plants also need energy. Animal take their kind of food.  Do plants eat food too? No, they do not. They do not eat like animals. Instead they make their food using the sunlight energy. Hints for  Activities Light a candle and ask children what is happening. (Heat and light are produced) Bring battery operated toys, and show the children that  they don’t work if you take out the battery. Drop a ball on the ground, or roll it on the table Pick up some pins by a magnet. Make a child stand in front of a fan with a paper in hand. Make the children sing National Anthem.  Ring a bell. Tell them sound is also a kind of energy. Hold the hand of a child tightly, tell them it is the muscular  energy.  Energy
