Buahan with its lakeside hill is one of the focal points of Batur UNESCO
Global Geopark, besides its fertile soils and woods, this village has several
cultural sites that are considered as an important part of the caldera
spiritual believe. Interesting enough that despite the name “Buahan”
literary means fruit (of Enau – palm), this village has several sacred springs
which only taken for traditional ceremony among the villages within the
caldera
