Moldovan celebrations and customs are an important part of cultural heritage that strengthen national identity. Both religious and secular holidays are observed with traditional rituals and customs related to family, nature, and community. Many customs involve group participation in important life events like house building, well digging, and dowry preparation. While some rituals have changed over time, Moldovan traditions have largely been preserved and combine old ceremonies with modern celebrations. Maintaining connections to cultural past and traditions helps protect immaterial heritage.
