Editor's Notes

  • #2 Introductions
  • #6 Explain that we recently wrote 7th grade challenge curriculumHighlight criteria that was used in course recommendations
  • #7 MS philosophy of exploratory is to offer exposure to both fine and practical arts so that students have an opportunity to discover different aptitudes (doing this at 6th and 7th grade levels)In 8th grade students will have an opportunity to “elect” more courses
  • #8 Students may elect to participate in Modern Language but must maintain a C- for continued participation in 8th gradeThis is part of a two year program providing students with HS credit at the end of their 8th grade yearIf you would like to further discuss AP/IB talk to Mr. Mueller
  • #12 Highlight that students have the ability to take 8 different exploratory classes each year (unless taking a daily or year long course)
  • #13 Review the impact of each schedule-daily elective, year long elective, etc.
