Flying Colors is a childcare center established in 1961 that serves children ages 0-12. It has two facilities and 60 staff members. The center's vision is the whole development of the child. Its mission is to provide quality childcare and learning through relationships centered on each child's needs. However, the document notes weaknesses like miscommunication on child abuse policies and lack of consistent training. It recommends Flying Colors improve abuse training for teachers, allow anonymous abuse reporting, and increase pre-service training to better protect children.

Flying Colors should adapt NACCRA’s
recommendations as this would further
increase the standards in place. For
example instead of placing staff
immediately in the classroom they
should at least receive the minimum of
40 hours of training.
