Project Overview –
Virtual PMO Services for PJM Students and Alumni
This project is one I have wanted to do for some time now – in order to move it forward to our leaders for approval, it would be very helpful to have an integrated plan to share for decision making – a draft charter/ scope statement and workplan has been created for this project. The next planning step is to complete the risk work.
Project Background
Currently, each faculty within our PJM program shares a number of project management templates used in their own project management work for use within their courses. The intent is to collect and share these templates across all sections of a course so that all students have access to a number of potential templates in that subject area and can then create their own version of the template that best meets the needs of their assignment projects. This will also store all templates in one place for easy access – regardless of the course that one is in it is convenient to locate other templates that might be helpful for the work in any course.
We also would like to make this available to alumni of the program – to allow them to benefit from our inventory of templates and also to allow them to contribute templates to the NU PJM community. This provides yet another opportunity for industry alignment and maintains a connection with our esteemed alumni.
This project is still considered to be at the beginning of its efforts. It will be a visible project within the Northeastern community – for faculty, current students and alumni.
Work to date – currently, there are many project management templates floating around our program. There has not been a coordinated effort to locate, vet and store these templates – nor have we considered if there are gaps in the templates provided.
Work includes understanding the needs of faculty, students and alumni and then creating a shared repository solution that will meet these needs. At minimum, the project will identify all available templates from faculty, reviewing these to ensure they are comprehensive, clear and ready for use and well as to review the inventory of templates against good practices in project management and the PMBOK - and that there are no copyright issues with posting on our shared site. Both faculty and students near the end of the program should be included in the review of the templates.
The shared site tool needs to be selected – this will require understanding the needs of faculty, students and alumni as well as standards to be followed in the IT constraints. The site needs to be designed and the templates uploaded.
A process needs to be created and implemented for upkeep on the templates as well as how additional templates are submitted for consideration, vetted and the site updated.

HRM 517- Managing Human Resource Project

February 12, 2018
The success of any project is determined by various factors. Among them is the ability of the project team or manager to develop an organized project charter. An organization or company project charter is used to give a description of the vision of the project, objectives, scope, project organization as well as the implementation plan. It is therefore considered to be one of the essential documents in any business or organization management system. For instance, in developing an effective customer relationship management system, the customer relationship manager or the team should have a well-developed project charter and in most cases, this document would be most precise. This paper will, therefore, help in designing a project charter that will be used to revamp the company’s compensation and benefits package received by its employees.
Construct a project charter to revamp the compensation and benefits package.
As the human resource manager of this company, the existing employee compensation, and benefits package has recently attracted a great deal of interest. This has proved to be useful for the annual completion of performance evaluations which has shown a lack of employee motivation in the company. It has also contributed to poor performance in service delivery to its clients and even in meeting the established duties and responsibilities. Therefore, it would be favorable to revamp the existing compensation and benefits package which is currently being offered to the employees. This is guided by the objective of the company to improve its performance in comparison to previous years. According to the Labor Act (Monaco & Pierce, 2015), it is proposed that each company or organization should provide a standard compensation and reward system for its employees that would include bonuses, rewards, and other established opportunities or systems which the company could utilize in an effort to recognize the efforts of employees thereby improving workforce development initiatives and strategies.
The vision of this plan is to develop an effective project charter that will help the company in revamping employee’s benefits and compensation package by recognizing the employee’s individual efforts. Along with the vision would include the project objectives which would be considered to develop compensation benefits plan that recognizes employee efforts in improving company productivity, to design and develop an effective benefit and compensation system that can be adjusted consistently based on company rate or growth, profitability and resource endowment. The vision would also include a way in which to motivate the company employees based on individual and collective productivity and w ...

Assignment Description
Assigning team members to task roles is a delicate and critical task. When done correctly, the team members will be excited about their role on the project, feel confident they can successfully complete the tasks assigned, and know they will have some conquerable challenges as they move through the project.
To effectively assign tasks to people (and people to tasks), the project manager must perform the following:
Identify the roles needing to be filled.
Determine the skills required for each role.
Determine the skill sets of the team members.
Assign team members to roles.
The objective for this assignment is to effectively select your team from the following people:
Pat
is available for 24 hours a week at $115 per hour. Pat was involved in several upgrade projects for this package and can act as business analyst, developer, or tester. Pat is very comfortable with the legacy system and does not see the benefit of moving to the Web-based version. He feels that the end users do not fully utilize the functionality they already have and will not use this new functionality effectively.
Terry
is available for 24 hours a week at $100 per hour. Terry was involved in the original installation and every upgrade since then. She tends to be in developer or tester roles for this system but acts as business analyst for other systems. She is very excited about the Web-based package and the functionality it provides. She is concerned, however, that the end users do not have the computer savvy to use it.
Robin
is available for 30 hours per week at $100 per hour. She was involved in the last two upgrades as a business analyst and has been trying to become involved in other systems and business areas. She was actively involved in the development of a custom Web-based application as a programmer. This was considered a skills development opportunity because her Web programming skills are not strong.
Chris
is available for 24 hours per week at $80 per hour. He is new to the IT department; he was previously a customer service representative. He just completed his undergraduate degree in computer science and has experience with Web programming and software testing techniques.
Jan
is available for 16 hours per week at $115 per hour. Jan is also new to the IT department. She was previously a consultant and was on process reengineering projects, including several for billing functions. She previously worked with the Web version product of the vendor’s competitor.

A Model for the Value Creation FrameworkLuisa Nenci
The Value Creation Framework (Perrini, 2006) helps companies and the investment community to better understand how a more inclusive stakeholder-oriented governance systems positively affects corporate performance. Perrini, Russo,Tencati, &Vurro, 2009 analysis findings are that there is no doubt that Corporate Responsibility (CR) may be beneficial for committed firms. Less clear is what dimensions firms can leverage to improve their abilities to benefit from responsible behavior. Starting from the analysis of existing literature on the link between Corporate Social Performance (CSP) and Corporate Financial Performance (CFP), and deepening the different dimensions underlying the relationship between specific CR-related interventions and company performance, the research answered the call for a more detailed understanding of the mechanisms through which CR can impact on the performance of the firm.
A simplified NetLogo model has been built (Nenci, 2013) to frame and analyse company's policy and related actions on people values and consequential corporate performances impacts. While firms values, belief and activities have been identified and classified into drivers, influencer and influenced (Perrini et al, 2009) variables specification, their interaction mechanisms and rules has been developed to build the model. Satisfaction has been chosen as the main variable including in calculation: salary, mobility and training variation, training and satisfaction variation against average. This to answer the question: With which level of decreasing satisfaction a talented worker will leave the enterprise?

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
