IPv4 addresses delegated in Indonesia have steadily increased from 2005 to 2015. As of 2015, Indonesia has received over 5 million IPv4 addresses. IPv4 address transfers allow addresses to be moved between organizations, with over 30 transfers processed for Indonesian organizations. Key requirements for transfers include the addresses being administered by APNIC and the recipient justifying their needs. Transfers can occur between APNIC members, other RIR members, and between APNIC and other NIRs.

What is IPv4 address transfer?
• A transfer occurs when IPv4 addresses are moved
from one legal entity (the source) to another (the
recipient)
• The transfer will change the custodianship of IPv4
address from the source entity to the recipient.
• As of today, there are 31 requests of IPv4 address
transfer have been processed for Indonesia.

ü Member of NIRs within APNIC
ü Member of other RIRs, e.g. ARIN

address blocks of /24 or greater between each other.
• The addresses must be administered by APNIC.
• How to initiate such transfer request?

resources that will be transferred thru evaluation
process by APNIC

eligible to receive IPv4 address /22 from the APNIC 103/8
block.
• Tuesday, 27 May 2014: each APNIC account holder
became eligible to receive additional delegations up to a
maximum of /22 address space from IANA recycled pool.
• Spirit of the policies: to assist existing and new members
on their IPv4 requirement during the transition to IPv6.
• Indonesia has received 486144 IPv4 addresses under this
policy
