6. But what is the EOSC?
• Trusted and open environment for the scientific
community to store, share and reuse scientific
data and results: a commons, a federated
environment
• EOSC leverages other actions taken by the
commission to promote Open Science in Europe,
e.g. open access to publications and data

shared services and shared minimum cultural
perceptions and practices about openness in the
research process
