1.Rondo alla Turca- Musical chairs 2-5 grade

3.Fur Elise- I would have it playing while a child is drawing or coming up with
something inspirational. 3-12 grade.

5.Wedding march Felix Mendelssohn- musical chairs. It helps the children with their
motor skills and reflexes. 1-6 grade
6.Airs a faire fuir Erik Satie- have them draw a picture on how the music makes them
feel. 3-7 grade.
7.A night on bald mountain Modest Mussorgsky- have them write a response on how the
music made them feel. 5-8 grade.
8.Symphony nr.6 Gustav Mahler- Have the students keep the beat and name off some of
the instruments being played. 3-8 grade.
9.Symphony nr. 5 Gustav Mahler- background music while they are writing a paper
during class. 3-8 grade.
10.In the hall of mountain king; Edvard Grieg- I would have the students write down the
instruments that keep joining in. Also if song is getting louder or softer and faster or
slower. 6-8 grade.
11.Dance of the knights; Sergi Prokofiev- What instruments are playing and when they
drop out. 4-6 grade.
12.Ave Maria; Franz Schubert- Mind stimulating music. 3-8 grade. Love this song.
13.March "Love for 3 oranges" Sergei Prokofiev- Describe what is going on in the music.
6-8 grade.
14.Carmen-Prelude; Georges Bizet- What Instruments are being played and what the
rhythm is like. 5-8 grade.
15.William Tell-Ouverture; Gioachino Rossini- Describe how the song starts off to the
way it ends. 5-9 grade.
16.Golliwogg's Cakewalk; Claude Debussy- Musical chairs. This song has a way of
making you wonder when it is going to stop. I know i would be in charge of stopping it
but just sounds like a good song for musical chairs. 2-5 grade.
17.Sleeping beauty waltz; Piotr Tchaikovsky- background music with assignment. 2-8
grade.
18.Blue danube waltz- musical chairs- I might teach them how to wlatz. 6-8 grade,
19.Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune; Claude Debussy- have them write down what they
are feeling when they hear this song. 5-8 grade.
20.Badinerie; Johann Sebastian Bach- What kind of instrument is being played and at
what tempo. 6-8 grade.
21.Swan lake Scene; Piotr Tchaikovsky- what emotions does this piece bring to them. 6-8
grade.
2. 22.Winter; Antonio Vivaldi- How the song starts off and how it ends. What different
speeds the song is played in. 5-8 grade.
23.Maid with the flaxen hair; Claude Debuusy- I would have the student tell me how they
are feeling and why they think they are feeling that way. 4-8 grade.
