The Nobel Prize is awarded annually for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace. The prizes were established by the will of Alfred Nobel and first awarded in 1901. The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet for their role in establishing a peaceful democratic process in Tunisia following the 2011 revolution, when the country was at risk of civil war. The Quartet is composed of four Tunisian civil society organizations that helped build a pluralistic democracy.

 National Dialogue Quartet made "decisive
contribution to the building of a pluralistic democracy
in Tunisia", jury says.
 The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet - a
democracy group - has been awarded the 2015 Nobel
Peace Prize for "its decisive contribution to the
building of a pluralistic democracy", the Norwegian
Nobel Committee has announced.

6.  The group of four organizations established "an
alternative, peaceful political process at a time when
the country was on the brink of civil war", the
committee said on Friday, referring to the period
following Tunisia's 2011 revolution.

8.  The National Dialogue Quartet is made up of four
key organizations in Tunisian civil society:
 the Tunisian General Labor Union; the Tunisian
Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts; the
Tunisian Human Rights League; and the Tunisian
Order of Lawyers.

9.  The jury cited the group for "its decisive contribution
to the building of a pluralistic democracy in Tunisia
in the wake of the Jasmine Revolution of 2011".
 "The Nobel Peace Prize for 2015 is awarded to this
Quartet, not to the four individual organizations as
such," the committee said.
