019 EMPHASIZE THE PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION 
MATERIALS REQUIRED 
Colourful glass bangles 
A tray 
A Polythene bag
Carefully break all the bangles. 
The broken bangles should be of different sizes. 
Transfer these bangles into a tray or a polythene bag
Ask a student to pick up the smallest blue coloured bangle (solid line) 
and the biggest green coloured bangle (broken line), for example 
Let the other students observe him carefully. 
The student who has to pick the bangles will automatically group the 
bangles according to the colour. 
Students can easily understand that classification helps to learn 
about the organisms better
