2. What is Spiritual Warfare?
Everything we do is a spiritual battle. We need to prepare to do spiritual warfare!!!
God called us all to be soldiers. Nowhere does the bible give room for "soft Christians". We
are living in a world ruled by satan and his time is running out so he is working 24/7!
Spiritual warfare is a war between the forces of God and the forces of rebellion, led by one
of God's most trusted created angelic beings who's name was Lucifer but since his fall
called satan. Satan is derived from the Hewbrew word meaning opponent. Satan's main
job is to accuse God's people. His name in Greek is devil and means accuser or slanderer.
Warfare is a struggle between 2 nations - so too spiritual warfare - it is a struggle between
God's people and the demonic forces. Struggle is an act/action - need to be acted out.
Struggle is to make a forceful effort to get free of restraint or constriction - To be set FREE!
How to Fight?
As satan is becoming bolder and bolder so TOO must we as believers and soldiers of God.
We need to take up our power and authority Jesus gave us. We need to be prepared to
wrestle! In order to win this battle we MUST be prepared to wrestle! Wrestle & warfare is
all something we need to do - we must go into action! Take up your God given authority that
Jesus gave us.
Once you engage in spiritual warfare you must learn to hear from the Lord in your spirit and
ask for it and seek such communication earnestly. Your guidance must come from the Holy
Spirit - spirit of discernment is vital! If you do not have this yet, seek/ask it from the Lord.
To enegage in spiritual warfare and to win this battle you need to do the follow:

Spiritual Warfare
You must accept total mastership of Jesus Christ in every area of your life.
You must be totally willing for a dealing of the cross of your own live. This must be
an on-going experience.
A willingness to lay down both your own life and the lives of your loved onces if the
Lord so chooses. You can propably expect a total change in your life situation.
Refer to Matthew 10:37-39.
Ephesians 6 :12

You must learn absolute mind control. This will most probably be one of the hardest
things you will ever do. Refer to Romans 12:2.
The mind is a major battlefield, satan attacks everyone in their minds more than
any other way.
We must train our minds before-hand so that when situations arise in whihc people
do us harm, we will not just react in our natural emotions of the moment. WE must
choose to act with God's mercy and return good for evil.
Scripture memory is important. Refer to Psalm 119:9+11. The way to hide God's
word in your HEART is to memorise it.
You must learn to hear the Lord speak to you in your spirit. Refer to John 16: 12-14
& Hebrews 10:15-16.
The Holy Spirit will put thoughts into your minds, that is how He speaks to us and is
a witness to us. Satan can also flash toughts into our minds, but remember the Holy
Spirit will confirm to your hear and spirit what is from satan and what is not.
Spiritual Warfare
Authority! God always puts His people under authority.
Never under estimate satan's power or treat him or think that he cannot or is not
active in your life. Satan is the most beautiful and intellifent creature God created.
Nvever forget that the battle is real!.
