1. Website – Used, developed and
challenged conventions of a real
media product

2. Challenged: In my research I noticed
that on many of the artists websites
they had used an enter page. I
decided against this idea as I felt
that it didn’t add anything special. I
felt that producing a home page
that including my music video and
album cover worked a lot better as I
was able to link all three of my task
together.
Developed: I used the idea of having
my album cover on my website
however I developed this as I had it
on my home page within a slide
show banner. This slide show
included a head shot image of my
artist emily and the album cover I
felt this was eye catching as the
animated effect drew attention
making it the focal point of my page.
This was important for me as it
would attract people to buy my
artist album.

3. Used: I used the idea of using multiple images as I
felt that especially for a home page people do not
want to be bombarded with text and images are a
way of catching the eye.
Developed: I developed on the idea of using
multiple images and added in a picture of my
album cover in order to promote it. I also added
my music video to my homepage so that I could
link all three pieces of my coursework together.
Challenged: I challenged the conventions that
Jessie ware used of house style. I did this because I
felt that black and white wasn’t very eye catching
and as my artist is a new artist the use of colour
will help to grasp the attention of the audience.
