4. Q 1.
After the Indian team won the World Cup, NKP Salve, Indian cricket administrator
and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Air Marshal Noor Khan floated the idea "Why
can not we play the World Cup in our country?” over a luncheon. India and
Pakistan decided to host the 1987 world cup together; but this was not easy
because the ICC gave the veto power to England and Australia, and was almost
impossible to organize a World Cup outside of England.
Also the socio-political tensions between India and Pakistan made it harder. Many
multi-national foreign companies, which included companies such as Hinduja,
Coca-Cola and Gillette refused to sponsor the event. Reliance Textiles, India’s
largest company, had teamed up with India and Pakistan boards during this
difficult time (thus the event was called Reliance cup) and bagged the hosting
rights by offering 4-5X money to all the countries. Since this tournament was
outside England, a particular change was needed in the format of the game
(something that was not possible outside England). This change got so popular
that it continued and is now a mainstream feature of the game. What change am I
talking about?

10. Q 3. In the early 19th century, Pennsylvania, a so-called Gravity Road was built by
a mining company entrepreneur Josiah White to haul coal from the mines at
Summit Hill to the Lehigh River landing at Mauch Chunk (now the town
of Jim Thorpe)—a 9-mile (14.5-km) downhill journey. Trains of as many as 14
cars, loaded with 50,000 pounds (23,000 kg) of anthracite coal, sped down
the mountain under the command of a single courageous “runner," who
operated a brake lever. Mules dragged the cars back up the mountain. Coal
was hauled in the morning, but increasingly the afternoon runs along Gravity
Road carried passengers paying 50 cents per person. This became the
starting point of a public entertainment which went to become one of the
most sought after experience of thrill seekers worldwide. What are we

13. Om Banna is a shrine located in Pali district near Jodhpur, India, devoted to a deity in
the form of a motorcycle. It is on the Pali-Jodhpur highway, near Chotila village.
Hundreds of devotees turn up every day to pray for a safe journey. Om Banna
(formerly known as Om Singh Rathore) was travelling from Bangdi to Chotila, when
he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree. He died on the spot whereas the
motorcycle fell into a nearby ditch. The morning after the accident, local police took
the motorcycle to a nearby police station. The next day it was reported to have
mysteriously disappeared from the station and was found back at the site of the
incident. Police, once again, took the motorcycle, this time emptying its fuel tank
and putting it under lock and key. Despite their efforts, the next morning it again
disappeared and was found at the accident site. Legend says that the motorcycle
kept returning to the same ditch. This came to be seen as a miracle by local
population, and they began to worship the bike. News of the miracle motorcycle
spread to nearby villages, and later they built a temple to worship it. It is believed
that Om Banna's spirit helps distressed travellers.
Give me the manufacturer and model of this “holy” motorcycle.
