2. Moodle is a course management system that is
user friendly. It allows teachers and professors
to receive students assignments. These
assignments are graded and students receive
automatic feedback. This was a useful source in
managing our ED271 course work and grading
system, and I would recommend other
professors to use this tool in their courses.

3. Firefox is the open source web browser our ED271
class used throughout this semester and it proved
to be a very effective tool. It has a feature that
allows users to browse undercover. It also allows
for parental control of unwanted downloads which
can be set within the sites settings. Finally, it allows
users to banish pop-ups from their surfing
experience or they can create an “allow” list of sites
whose pop-ups they don’t mind seeing.

4. Google Apps is one of my favorite technology tools. It was a
dependable source of communication for our ED271 class group
projects because it allowed us to collaborate efficiently online. On
top of the fact that users can send and receive emails, its Google
docs feature allows users to store documents online and if they
wanted to, they can share these documents with other students,
teachers, or coworkers. Another feature is the Google talk which
allows users to chat with other people within their contacts. So
this feature is another form of communication that is fast and
reliable.

5. My laptop is equipped with the Google Chrome web
browser. I fine it very useful and it easily connects to
any internet network. Google Chrome features a very
simple user interface with tabs, an address or
navigation bar, and an optional toolbar. Also, it keeps
track of your browsing history. Simply open a new tab
and it automatically shows you webpage's that you
have recently visited.

6. Prezi is a creative multimedia tool that can be
used in the classroom, in the workforce, or in
any other place that deals with presenting a
topic, product, issue, etc. It incorporates
pictures, texts, video clips, and much more.
Although it may be difficult to create a show at
first, the finished product is worth the hard
work. This is my favorite presentation tool!

7. SpicyNodes is another type of media tool. It
offers dozens of ready-made layout styles and
backgrounds, which are fully customizable into
millions of unique styles. It is a web-like tool
that allows users to see connections between
ideas and topics. However, when my group used
it to present, it consistently froze and took time
to load the content, but was still good.
My rating on a scale of 1-5 of this tool: ………4.5
8. Elluminate allows for exciting opportunities to
enhance instruction. Students meet from home,
offices, computer labs, and locations from around
the world to interact with their teaching and
learning environments. It is a form of
collaboration. However, it only allows for 3 people
to talk at one time which can be ineffective when
collaborating with more that three people.

9. Slideshare is what I used for this specific
assignment! It is the best way to share
presentations, videos, and documents. This is
the first time I used this tool and it uploads
fast and is user-friendly. I did not have
problems signing up for the account and the
best part is that this tool is free!
