Irish River
The main river - River Shannon, 386 km (240 mi),
The River Shannon enters the Atlantic Ocean after Limerick city
at the Shannon Estuary.
Mountain
The highest peak is Carrauntoohil, which is 1,038 m (3,405 ft)
high. It is in the Macgillycuddy's Reeksin the south-west of the
island.
Lakes
The river Shannon develops into three lakes along its course,
Lough Allen, Lough Ree, and Lough Derg. Of these, Lough Derg
is the biggest.
