Group 1, Question C) One of the stories that I thought was mostly for entertainment was "The Story
of Ong". From what I noticed was that in most of the stories it taught some sort of lesson or tells us
why things are the way they are. But in this story there wasn't really anything that we learned from
it. For example, in "Damollale and the Water Baby" at the end it says, "Then the lake returned to its
original bed, but as it retreated it left water in all the depressions in the area. That is why there are
many small lakes in the mountains near Lake Tahoe," which is directly telling us what we need to
know from hearing this story (Glotfetly 27). But in the story of the Washo and the Ong, It just tells

lot of unnecessary details. While reading it I was expecting a different ending. But it tells us that the
Coyote pushes in the Wildcats nose while the Wildcat sharpens and makes the Coyote's nose pointy
(Glotfelty 9). While in ""Wolf and Coyote–Origin of Death" it is more direct and get to the point a

Types Of The Human Host

Security Issues With Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
Abstract– The paper discusses security issues with Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
and four different approaches proposed to secure DHCP. DHCP assigns network parameters to
existing and new clients. A misconfigured client is a big security breach as the traffic from and to
such client can be intercepted. The two main issues with DHCP are rogue server and Media Access
Control (MAC) address spoofing. The techniques discussed in the paper attempt at solving these
problems by encrypting the plain text send in DHCP, using digital signatures and key exchange
algorithms to maintain data integrity and security.

The goals of this lab were to install DNS, DHCP, NTP and OpenLDAP on a new RLES Red Had
Enterprise Linux server within the jps5374.corp domain. Both DHCP and DNS were services that I
have implemented before in System Administration I, so this section was mostly review. However,
NTP and OpenLDAP were services that I've never worked with, so this lab was my first
implementation. The overall idea for this lab was to install services and configure them with an
enterprise network in mind.

The first thing I did when setting up DNS was to install everything. Once I got everything installed,
it went right to the configuration files.
The first configuration file I worried about was named.conf. This file lets the named daemon know
where to find information about both forward and lookup zones.

Malware, as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, "refers to a program that
is covertly inserted into another program with the intent to destroy data, run destructive or intrusive
programs, or otherwise compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of the victim's data,
applications or operating system. (M. & K., 2013)" This is a threat to all companies with any type of
internet access and/or electronic information storage. That is currently a large number of both small
and big businesses.
Some important terms to take into account here is confidentiality, integrity and availability. These
terms are known as CIA and are the core principles of information security. Malware will affect all
three indefinitely if left unchecked. This will not only hurt a company's revenue but will potentially

She is the soul that has been placed inside the body of an unwilling human host that once belonged
to a girl named Melanie Stryder. Her true form owns the same appearance as all "souls"; ghostly,
silver, and reflective with many small, feather–like attachments. However, while inhabiting the body
of her host, Melanie Stryder, she obtains her physical attributes, which include tan skin and long,
dark, and glossy hair. Her name implies her traits; she was named Wanderer because, in her previous
eight lives, she had traveled to many planets and knows little to nothing about human culture and
behavior, making her stick out of the crowd of humans. It is safe to assume that she is a pacifist, for
she states in the book multiple times that her kind doesn't believe in violence. At the end of the
book, Wanderer is placed into another host and gains long, golden hair, freckles, gray eyes, a
dimple, and a decrease in height. She becomes delicate and petite, for the soul that was in the body

Melanie Stryder is a major character in the book, for she is the previous owner of the body that
Wanderer was placed into. She is quite defiant in the beginning, refusing to cooperate and allow
Wanderer to take over her body completely. This creates conflict for both girls because they are

book Coma. Although the new york times referred to Cook as the "master of medical thrillers" I
found flaws in the novel. Host contains an engaging plot line and an appropriate use of medical
vocabulary that aids not weaken the story for the average reader. However, Cook's long rants about

The opportunities to see into the personality of each character were instead replaced with recurring
details about the race of characters. Every time Michael the only african american character did
something stereotypical of his race it was followed by the same unnecessarily explanation of him
being black. The theme of race is a common overpowering detail, that can also be seen through the
many russian characters. Everytime dialogue was said the accent was pointed out. A few chapters in
we had met these characters and could remember for yourself what race they were. With racism
such a relevant topic in the current media, i could not help but constantly be distracted but the
stereotypes Cook snuck into each page. Michael was never written about as a person but always an
african american in a hospital full of white people. The contrast of michael to everyone else, might
of helped in the initial character development phase but it was so blatantly thrown in throughout the
whole book that it took away from how great of a character Michael Pender truly was. Michael was
not the only great character. The book had many great characters and storylines. It just took a large
amount of decoding to pull them out. The book was split into three parts, and by far the third part
was the best written. The sense of adventure and urgence finally shone through leaving readers on
