2. Image editing software
I had used image editing software such as fontspace to create the font style that would
appeal to my target audience as well as fit the conventions of the Post-Apocalyptic
Horror. I searched for a sans-serif font that was bold and attractive to the target
audience. I was also able to change the colour of the font which allowed me to be
more creative in using fonts. I used the colour scheme of red, white and black in both my
Film Poster and Magazine cover as I felt that the colours went well together and they
also fit the conventional colour scheme of the Post Apocalyptic Horror Genre. Through
the use of this technology, I was able to present my products in the most professional
and stylistic way as possible.
3. Photoshop
I used Photoshop during the creation of my ancillary products to make my images much
more professional by removing backgrounds that took away from the overall quality of
my images. These images were edited mainly on my Magazine Poster as the background
didn’t fit with the conventions of a horror trailer. By editing the image, my image stood
out a lot more that was attractive to my target audience. Photoshop help me to easily
do this and has been a massive advantage in making my products successful at
appealing to my target audience.
4. Social Media
I used social media sites such as survey
monkey and Facebook to collect
audience feedback to further improve
my Film Poster and Magazine front cover.
This allowed me to collect criticisms and
comments on what worked well from my
target audience as my main
demographic are heavy internet users.
The comments further improved my
products to make them much more
appealing to my target audience and to
resemble the Post-Apocalyptic Horror
genre a lot more. Since social media site
are very accessible, I was able to collect
much more useful information from my
target audience which helped me
greatly.
