I-Section Piston Rings at Federal Mogul powertrain
Major scrap rate survey has been done for production of piston ring at federal mogul TPR plant and root
cause has been identified as ring loading method, design optimisation done for loading method in lapping
process to reduce the major scrap rate and improve the production rate and quality of I section piston rings.

By using Peltier effect principle a device has been designed and fabricated, which can be used as heater as
well as cooler with the help of solar Energy.
