2. SURAH AL-ASR – INTRODUCTION
I take an oath by time!
Without a doubt, each and every human being is in a state of loss.
Except for those individuals who have belief and Perform actions which are righteous and good and advise one
another to the truth and advise one another towards patience.

3. SURAH AL-ASR – REVELATION
• Revealed in Mecca
–Part of the 30th Juz of the Quran
–13th chapter revealed to the Prophet.
• Such an important Surah to the early Muslims that
before they departed from one another in a gathering,
they would recite this Surah to one another.
4. SURAH AL-ASR – RECITATION
Imam as-Sadiq: One who recites it (Sūrah al-Asr) in their
recommended prayers, on the Day of Judgement, Allah will fill that
person’s face with the radiant light, with a smile on his face and gleeful
eyes as they make their way towards Paradise.” (Thawab al-A’maal wa
Iqaab al-A’maal)

5. It is not enough to think about ourselves, we must also think of others.
6. Faith comes first – then practice.
