Who maintain the prayer, and pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter.
1. Who are the doers of beauty (good)?
◦ Those who “establish” the daily prayers – connection with the MOST HIGH;
◦ Give to the less fortunate in society – connection with the MOST LOW;
◦ Have conviction in the day when they will be asked about their actions.

Those follow their Lord’s guidance, and it is they who are the felicitous.
1. The ‘doers of good’ are following guidance and are the successful ones.
2. This verse shows that the only way of ‘felicity’ and ‘success’ in Islam is to be in touch with the Creator and
the creations (Salat and Zakat).
1. We can not have one without the other; no forgetting the poor to focus on Allah; can not focus on the poor and forget
Allah;

4. The only time that belief in the next world has value is when it is coupled with

5. The real doers of good are those who are not only concerned about matters of
spirituality but also economics (of others). ( ‫للمحسنین‬‫الذین‬‫یقیمون‬...‫یؤتون‬ )
6. Those who engage in good actions are sure to be receiving the guidance from
their Lord. ( ‫أولئك‬‫على‬ً‫دى‬ُ‫ه‬‫من‬‫هم‬ّ‫ب‬‫ر‬ )
7. Guidance is one of the traits and responsibilities of The Lord. ( ً‫هدى‬‫من‬‫هم‬ّ‫ب‬‫ر‬ )
8. The tawfeeq (Divine providence in being able to do good deeds) is a grace

9. One of the ways which we can ensure that we receive guidance from God
is through the prayers and charity and other such actions. ( ‫ذین‬ّ‫ال‬‫یقیمون‬...

10. True success – of this world and more importantly the next – is reserved
for those people who ensure they uphold their prayers, give out of their
wealth and have firm conviction and belief in the world to come. ( ‫أولئك‬
‫هم‬‫المفلحون‬ )
