This is the biggest
Christian holiday. It is
handled in remembrance
of the Resurrection of
Christ. They are movable
holidays (there is no
specific date) but we
always celebrate them in
the spring. Easter is
preceded by a 40-day Lent
and Holy Week.

3. LENT
The period of Lent is a time
of calm and reflection. It
begins on Ash Wednesday,
where masses are held in
the Churches, where ash is
sprinkled with ashes
obtained from burnt palm
branches. The Lent season
ends with the celebrations of
the Holy Week liturgy.

4. WAY OF THE CROSS
During Lent, the Way of
the Cross takes place
on Friday evenings in
the Churches. It
involves considering the
Passion of Christ and
crossing the road
consisting of 14
stations.

5. PALM SUNDAY
Palm Sunday, once
called April's Sunday
(from April) or
Willow, symbolizes
the ceremonial entry
of Jesus Christ on a
donkey to Jerusalem.

9. GREAT SATURDAY
This is the time of mourning for the crucified
Christ. Traditionally, the food on the Easter
table is celebrated on this day.

10. Easter Otherwise called
the Great
Sunday. On this
day after the
morning Mass

Easter breakfast,
