L’Avenir Wine Estate is a boutique winery that specialises in the creation
of hand-crafted, world-class Pinotage and Chenin Blanc. Situated on the
slopes of the Simonsberg, just five kilometres outside Stellenbosch, L’Avenir
is right in the heart of South Africa’s most revered wine producing region.
The estate gained global recognition when celebrated winemaker and Pinotage pioneer, Francois
Naudé, was at the helm in the 90’s. Under Naudé’s mentorship, an endearing passion for quality
and craft has been instilled in his successor and leading young gun of the South African wine
scene, Dirk Coetzee. Between them, they have secured no less than nine prestigious Absa Pinotage
Top 10 trophies. As a pioneer of premium Chenin Blanc, L’Avenir boasts some of the oldest
Chenin Blanc vineyards in Stellenbosch and produces wines that reflect the Estate’s unique
Simonsberg terroir.
In addition to renowned and authentic wines, L’Avenir offers world class conferencing and
wedding facilities, as well as the delightful L’Avenir Country Lodge.

options that are suited to every need and occasion – from a celebratory Méthode Cap Classique
to a serious and impressive Single Block Pinotage.

The French Ties partners will also have access to L’Avenir’s conferencing facilities and Country
Lodge at special rates (-20%). The stylish Single Block venue can accommodate up to 100
delegates, while the exclusive Pinotage Lounge is the ideal setting for smaller, intimate occasions.
Country Lodge offers 11 elegant rooms in the tranquil and picturesque surroundings of the estate.
Located walking distance from the conferencing facilities, guests and delegates of French Ties
partners can be hosted in style and comfort at the Country Lodge.
This offer is exclusively available to French owned organisations and businesses. By signing this
agreement, you agree to partner with L’Avenir as your preferred wine supplier and conference
venue for one year.
The L’Avenir Sports Academy
The L’Avenir Sports Academy, in associa-
tion with We Love Football and the French
Embassy in South Africa, is pioneering sports
development in the Cape Winelands through
professional coaching. Dedicated to creating
fair play on and off the pitch, the academy
uses play to steer youth toward a better life,
with better awareness, life skills and ultimately,
better opportunities.
The L’Avenir Sports Academy is an integral
part of the French Ties project and a proud
example of French business’ collaborative
contribution to long-term social development
in South Africa. Businesses are encouraged
to contribute to this project, which has the
official support of the French Ambassador in
South Africa.
