2. Church
◦ Attending a church and a student
fellowship group helps to strengthen
my belief in Jesus Christ. This contributes
to my identity as I am a Christian.
3. Family
◦ Interacting and spending quality time
with my family is an important part of
my occupational identity as it shapes
my view of who I am in a situation I am
comfortable in.
4. Reading
◦ Reading for pleasure is a large part of
my occupational identity as I enjoy
both disappearing into the worlds
created by other authors and also
sharing those worlds with others.
5. Writing
◦ Writing stories is something I enjoy
doing in my leisure time and I hope one
day being a published author will be
part of my occupational identity.
6. Pool
◦ Playing pool helps contributes to my
occupational identity as it helps me to
build relationships with family and
friends.
7. Crochet
◦ Crocheting is a recent occupation that
has added to my occupational identity
the aspect of being a craftsperson who
can take pride in her work.
8. Flute
◦ I have played the flute since the age of
ten and although I no longer find the
time to play I still feel that being a
musician is part of my occupational
identity.
9. Scarf collecting
◦ Collecting and wearing scarves is part
of my occupational identity as it
contributes to my personal sense of
style. Each scarf has a different
memory and a different mood
attached to it and I like to wear a
different one everyday.

Being an Occupational Therapy
Student means quite a bit to me as it
is me developing the career part of
my occupational identity which I
hope to carry through for the rest of
my life.
