sexual health among young adults. Quasi-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test research
design was used. Coming to conclusion the STP was highly effective in increasing the
knowledge score among young males.
2. Research Approach and Design: Quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental
one-group pretest post-test design.
Sample size - 60 adolescents (including boys and girls) of Tharakan High School
Perinthalmanna.
Sampling technique: simple random sampling technique by lottery method
Tool – Section-1: Socio demographic data
Section 2: Structured questionnaire to assess the knowledge regarding sexual
health among selected adolescents
Duration of Data Collection: One week

5. Findings and Outcome
Section C: Association between the pretest scores with selected demographic variables
There is no association between the level of knowledge and selected demographic variables
Among 60 adolescents, 46.6% have poor knowledge
regarding sexual health, 50% have average knowledge of
sexual health and 3.33% have good knowledge regarding
sexual health..
Conclusion: From the study, it is evident that only less
number of children have good knowledge regarding sexual
health and the majority are not much aware of sexual
health. A planned structured teaching programme can
bring awareness among children regarding sexual health.
