In high school many teachers would nag about how college professors wouldn't care and be helpful
but boy where they wrong. Sometimes I wonder if they even went to college. Coming into college, I
was quiet afraid that I would not have professors that cared for their students to succeed. I imagined
them being mean, strict and stuck–up. To my surprise, all of my professors so far have been more
than willing to assist me. They are a fountain of knowledge. Many have given me different types of
contact information so if I'm ever struggling with an assignment I can get ahold of them one way or
another. One professor even gave us his skype information. Talking to other students, I've learned
that I'm not the only one who feels like this. They've shared with me their wonderful learning
experiences that the professors have given them. Where they have great environments and

A Brief Note On The Peak Community Partners
More than 16 million children, or roughly one in five, were living in poverty in 2011, according to
the U.S. Census Bureau 's official poverty measure (pdf). That is higher than any other age group.
Poverty to such a degree prohibits parents the ability to provide their children with any extra
luxuries outside of the conventional education. Moreover, traditions such as prom let alone
extracurricular activities that cost are out of the question due to the expense. Pikes Peak Community
Partners (PPCP) will try to incorporate service learning initiatives with the responsibilities of
running a solvent nonprofit. It is PPCP 's belief that every child should be able to enjoy the
opportunities that are available to them in both a traditional high school setting that they earn
through hard work and dedication. The program is designed to help children obtain and retain the
resources necessary to affect real change within their community, thus giving them the opportunity
to build something great even if it is merely a friendship that will last a lifetime. Consequently, the
project will help the youth of the Pikes Peak region obtain opportunities that may not otherwise be
afforded to them, while teaching students (youth) leadership, social, and business skills that will be
utilized throughout their lives.
The creation of a nonprofit will help address the needs of disadvantaged youth in the Pikes Peak
region by giving the responsibility back to the youth. Initially, the first project

Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado states that there are 150 lakes and 450 miles of streams.
This kind of wetland ecosystem is prominent for featuring dense wildlife environments in which elk,

Colorado Springs Description
Colorado Springs is a beautiful town and worth your visit! It's nestled in the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains. It's a bustling town where you can find the US Olympic Training Center and Garden of
the Gods. A fun fact about Colorado Springs is that it's only about an hour from Pike's Peak. Pikes
Peak is the tallest peak in the US Rockies! There's also a restaurant called The Airplane Restaurant.
It's a cool destination that will have any airplane fan excited. You get to dine in a Boeing KC–97, or
you can dine in the main dining room. We headed to Garden of the Gods on our last day, and it was
beautiful. It's a small park, and there are serval places that you can pull over and take pictures. It's

Lake Travis
Upstream along the Colorado River from Lake Austin is Lake Travis. Created when the Mansfield
Dam was finished in 1941, this lake has the most notoriety in the greater Austin area as a
recreational destination spot. Scenic limestone cliffs, stunning vistas and clear water make it a
statewide hot spot for beautiful restaurants, camping and hiking, fishing, water sports and waterfront
homes.
Lake Travis is fed by the Colorado River (as with all the Highland Lakes), the Pedernales River and
several other large creeks that form the lake's famous coves. Filtered by layers of limestone, it's one

Pace Bend State Park gives visitors a chance to camp, hike, dive and swim along the bluffs. Many
Lake Travis homes are built high along the bluffs in order to stay out of the flood plain.

Lake Travis has a little of something for every angler. Winter offers the challenge of hooking white
and striped bass before they run up the creeks and rivers during the spring. Spring and fall bring in

However, during the 19th century, the development of Colorado boomed greatly because of its
iconic people and the fact that so many travelers and tourists enjoyed seeing Colorado. The people

Death Penalty June 19, 1975, began a killing spree in Colorado Springs when a soldier from
Ft.Carson and his friend who worked on base shot a cook in the head. He only had fifty cents. The
next week they stabbed a Fort Carson soldier with a bayonet. On July 1, 1975, they killed Kelsey
Grammer's sister. After raping her, they stabbed her throat and left her out in a trailer park to die.
That night they went to Fort Carson and called a cab from a club. That pick up would be Dad's last.

with sudden blizzards and chilling winds. The mountains are the guardians of the west, and their

The Establishment of Vail Vail is a town located in Eagle County in the mountains of Colorado with
