Political factors The political factors to consider are firstly the Food Standards Agency, who is
responsible for the health and hygiene for all food which are produced within Britain. Changes in
legislation are another political aspect we need to recognise which may affect our business. The
coalition government amended the equal opportunity act this year, as well as introducing further
changes in corporation tax amongst other measures which B&J will have to monitor. Economical
factors The increase in VAT to 20% is a major issue for our concept, as it results increases in cost of
goods. This is due to the coalition' government's policies of reducing Britain's budget deficit,
causing reduction in disposable incomes as wages stagnate. (Finch, 2010) This will fuel higher
inflation which at 3%, is above the 2% target, fuelling higher costs for basic goods. Furthermore
unemployment averaging 7% is an important issue to take into consideration for our business. The
consequences of unemployment results with consumers struggling with daily expenses, therefore
unable to purchase premium goods. Social factors In relation to social factors this table see appendix
3, emphasises the culture of UK lifestyles with consumers admitting that due to busy lifestyles they
have neglected their health. In relation to the long working hours within Britain, A large amount of
people admit to consume food without checking nutritional content, fuelling obesity. Consequently

2. Methods For Sustainable Agriculture From Http

sustainable agriculture from
http://www.ucsusa.org/food_and_agriculture/science_and_impacts/science/sustainable–
agriculture.html (including all hyperlinks used).
Cover crops is the first method I will cover. Cover crops are essentially an alternative crop that get
planted between growing cycles. There can be a number of positive reasons for doing so. A cover
crop can hold the soil together ad reduce erosion. If ploughed into the soil or mowed and left as cut
material, this provides a more natural revitalisation of organic material and therefore nutrients to the
land. This is a more healthier alternative to manufactured strong fertiliser to replenish nutrients to
the soil for the next crop. Certain crops can also act as detergents to pets and diseases. Another use
of cover crops is to act as a cover crop and feed for livestock meeting dual needs.

3. Marketing Plan For Whole Foods Market
1.0 Overview of the company:
Whole Foods Market is a chain of organic, natural supermarkets found in USA, Canada and the UK.
Initially founded in Austin, Texas in 1980, at a time when there were less than half a dozen natural
supermarkets, the company saw rapid growth domestically through expanding across Texas and then
into the West Coast of America. This was achieved through growth from the ground up and
acquiring smaller natural food companies. Whole Foods Market in the present day is the result of
acquiring 14 smaller firms – a key driver in breaking into the UK and Canadian markets.
Marketed as 'America's healthiest grocery store' the company has successfully grown to 408 stores
across the world with sales of $14 billion in 2014 (Whole Foods Market, 2015). The firm is
positioned as an upmarket grocery due to the emphasis on natural, organic origins, and as a result
are able to charge a premium for their products. Through efficiently running its operations and
stores, Whole Foods are able to maintain healthy 4.02% profit margins (Financial Times, 2015) and
operating margins well above the American grocery store industry average at 6.58% (Bloomberg,
2015). Looking at 2015's quarter 1 figures it is clear to see that Whole Foods have had a hugely
successful year with sales of $4.7 billion, up 10% from the same period last year. Furthermore, they
opened 9 new stores and have signed a further 11 new leases.

In most businesses, stakeholders are the customers, investors, shareholders, employees, suppliers,
government agencies, communities and others who have an interest in a company's products,
operations, and markets (Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2011). Ultimately, they not only influence the
course and direction of the company, but the company can influence them as well (Attend, 2015).
Additionally, there are secondary stakeholders, such as: media, trade associations, and special
interest groups who can have a positive impact, especially in times of corruption (Attend, 2015).

Additionally, the group Friends of the Earth International who allege Monsanto is plotting to 'force–

agencies have conducted food safety tests and the seeds developed by Monsanto have been accepted
by: the US Department of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Food and
Drug Administration, as well as Britain's Royal Society (Baird, 2015). Ultimately, there are many
scientists and environmental organizations who believe the "dramatic increase in cases of coeliac
disease, gluten intolerance, autism, diabetes, Alzheimer's, ADHD, cancer, and other 'modern' health
disorders" are a direct result of genetically modified foods (Baird, 2015, p. 13).
Politically, where does Monsanto stand? Interestingly, Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who
was Monsanto's legal counsel, is an avid supporter (Baird, 2015). Luckily,

5. Uncle Tobys Essay
Understanding marketing system
The world is rapidly developing in most aspects of human life. In the aspect of economy, companies
or firms nowadays pursue global plans so as to introduce and develop their products as well as their
services in other countries, instead of only focusing on business in their nation. However, the
companies' success depends not only on their own activities but also other factors from outside.
Therefore, people have widely adopted marketing systems as a tool to obtain their goals. Some
interesting articles and books address this issue. Layton, a professor of marketing at the University
of New South Wale in Australia, in his articles "Marketing Systems: A Core Macromarketing
Concept" in 2007, examines the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, marketing system is a network of customers and organization that produce product in the
way of economic exchange. For instance, Wilkie and Moore (1999), in panel A: Tiffany breakfast
items have complex network from the start to coffee, and breakfast pastry. In this panel shows the
complication of coffee produce which start from farmer grow coffee leave, transport to the
manufacturing to produce coffee and then enter to the market and become Tiffany coffee. In this
example, economic exchange was happen in each stage of activities such as growing coffee bean,
transport; enter market and taxes GST, seller and buyers.
In the article in 2009, Layton (2009) focuses more on the interaction between the marketing systems
with the economic growth and quality of life. The writer argues that the changes of marketing
systems can effectively or ineffectively affect the development of economy or the well–being of
society. In addition, the author maintains that the marketing systems founds in multilayered,
multiagent and developed economies. Moreover, the division of labor and specialization, institutions
and social matrix are factors which strongly impact economic outcomes. In the paper of Dixon and
Wilkinson (1982), the authors argue that marketing is a kind of exchange mechanism that results
from buyers and sellers actions to satisfy their requirements. Furthermore, each person plays one or

The concept of an organisation varies significantly among different authors. One of the interesting
views is that 'an organisation is a social arrangement for controlled performance of collective goals'
(Buchanan and Hucynski 2013). An organisation includes individuals who strive to meet a common
goal. It consists of a hierarchal management structure whereby each individual is assigned with
specific responsibility. However, Hal G. Rainey (2009) defines an organisation as 'a group of people

As stated by Kotler (1997), "price should be commensurate with the offer's perceived value", Bio
Bhutan should take the advantage of the demand in the market, products' perceived value and
increase the prices to maximize profits.
II. Difficult in meeting the market demand
As per the CEO of Bio Bhutan, sometimes they do not have enough the stock of their products to
dispatch to the international market, although there is demand. This, according to him is because
they first try to meet the demand of market in country and then go for international markets. This
issue could be solved by producing an adequate amount of products required and as per the market
demand (both in–country and international).

7. The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation ( Sco ) Covers More...
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) covers more than three fifths of the Eurasian
landmass and represents one fourth of the world population. In that sense it is the biggest security
organisation in the world next to the UN (Oldberg 2007:13). The SCO is also the only international
security organisation where China is a member and the US is not. Central Asia is at the centre of the
organisation both in a geographical and political sense.
Central Asia is a place where the strategic interests of the world powers intersect. External factors
sustain political, military, and to a large extent economic stability in the region. Russia, the West,
and China act as the main outside stabilizers. World and regional powers actively defend their
military–political and economic interests in Central Asia (Baizakova 2013:59).
Under the impact of globalisation the need of cooperation in the realm of security has become all
the more important. If the Central Asian Countries prove incapable of conducting a coordinated
policy in relation to the outside world, they risk losing their strategic position that has been acquired
in recent years in international politics.
Security cooperation in the region takes place within the framework of certain multilateral
institutions, including through the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The organisation has shown
flexibility and adaptiveness by its rapid growth, the creation of new institutions and broadening
agenda. It serves as a useful forum

8. The Objectives Of Organic Farming
Organic Farming is the practice of producing food without the use of harmful chemicals that can
cause great damage to the environment. Their production is natural and is done without the use of
things like pesticides, herbicides or growth hormones in order to protect the surrounding areas. They
are produced without synthetic chemicals and no genetic modification can be used for these
particular plants. These plants are supposed to have higher nutritional quality without artificial
fertilisers or synthetic chemicals. Organic Farming falls within the Agriculture and Fisheries sector
as it involves cultivating of land to grow foods.
The aim of Organic Farming is to improve soil fertility by using different techniques such as crop
rotation and organic to assist in plant growth rather than using growth hormones or synthetic
chemicals.
In order to turn things organic, there is a process which must happen. Farmers must ensure that they
have effectively improved the fertility of their soil and they must try to eliminate weeds and pests
without using chemicals to do so. These things must be planned in order for the process to happen
sooner.
The Organic Federation of Australia (OFA) is one of the main organic organisations ins Australia
and was established in 1998 in order to represent organic and biodynamic industries within the
country. They wish to promote organic farming from a simple niche market to a larger and more
significant part of Australian food.

"Our freedom is not up for negotiation."(Mohamed ElBaradei). The Egyptian Revolution was a
battle to take back rights that had been taken away for nearly thirty years.Socially, the main causes
were a lack of human rights, and poor living conditions.Economic changes also promoted the
development of protests. Political leaders were unjust, provoking citizens to create an uproar of
resistance. The Egyptian Revolution has had many harsh social, destructive economic, yet
promising political impacts on the Egyptian people while the prospect for peace remains uncertain.

people, and the government. The first protest was on January 25th, 2011. The people ... Show more

Poor conditions sparked the Egyptian Revolution. The work conditions were so poor, that "...a street
vendor in Tunisia set himself on fire in front a municipal building to protest his work conditions"
(Global Issues in Context Online Collection). This is an example of the many forms of protests in
the Egyptian revolution. A street vendor had been severely mistreated in his job, so he put on a
public display to draw attention to his struggles. Setting himself on fire was his way of telling the
world that he needed a change. A social impact of the Egyptian Revolution were the emergency
measures taken by the government to control protesters. Although protests were non–violent, the
police used very abusive tactics to end them. Police used tear gas, rubber bullets, firehoses and even
guns, to end protests. (Egyptian Anti–Government Protests). Despite the country's fight to end
police brutality, and other violations of human rights, their protests were stopped by any means
necessary. The struggle that Egypt was going through was so harsh, the police had the right to
mistreat anyone participating in even the most peaceful protests. The biggest social impact of the
Egyptian Revolution was the number of casualties. Egyptian people faced mass arrests of protesters,
injuries, and even deaths. Over the course of the revolution, there were at least 840 deaths.
(Britannica School). Despite both sides' good intentions, the number of casualties in the Egyptian
revolution was astounding. Protesters were abused in protests, but they needed a better life. The
police force and government wanted to keep things under control, but their efforts sparked more and
more protests. This illustrates that a need is often granted with a sacrifice. In Egypt's fight for
human rights, it was clear it would not be easy, but the impacts were more significant

effects of plastic bottles and bottled beverages, encouraging companies to alter their corporate

The two major ways in which a company can grow are the organic growth or the inorganic growth.
Inorganic growth– is a system of expanding the company by means of joining together with other
companies to form what one may call a conglomerate. Inorganic growth involves mergers and take–

the two organisations. A merger helps enhance the two organisations which have joined to share
resources and management skills for the benefit of both organisations which now work under one

international organic food market within 5 years from 2010 to 2015 (Transparency Market

natural products even during recession (Cummings, 2008). Demand for organic products are
gradually increase every year, thereby this report is to analyze the market of China precisely in
overall environmental aspects and outline some marketing implications the company will apply if it
exports organic products into China. The company mentioned is Country Farms SdnBhd, a company

fast–paced world nowadays in supplying high quality organic products at affordable price. Country
Farms offer a wide range of 100% natural products, including foods, vegetables, Milk powder, Oil,
beverages, fruit juice, personal care products etc. The prices of organic products are higher compare
to conventional products in the market (Bezawada, R. & Pauwels, K, 2013). Hence, target markets

Cyber criminals are faceless and cybercrimes are now easier and safer for criminals to troll the
internet for unsuspected victims without leaving the comfort of their own home. According to a
Police Executive Research Forum report (PERF, 2014), local law enforcement are struggling with
responses to cybercrimes; Chief Charles McClelland of the Houston police department told PERF,
"unfortunately, we haven't properly prepared our officers to handle cybercrime calls" (p.20).
Cybercrimes are not limited to credit card frauds, scams, human trafficking, or cyber bullying, but
also involves attacks on national infrastructures to terrorism plots on a larger scale. The post 911
investigation revealed that the internet played a key role in the attacks, from planning to
coordinating to executing the cowardice acts. As a law enforcement organization, we are facing a
new breed of criminals–criminals with no faces or names and our task is to bring them to justice.
There is a lack of knowledge in the cyber world, which the police culture does not fully
comprehend. In order to level the playing field, we must improve IT knowledge through education,
commit funding to promulgate cybercrimes units, and collaborate with local, state, and federal
agencies to create a team of teams. The internet is largely unregulated, therefore, those who are most
familiar with it will dominate the virtual world. There is hope, although cybercrimes are committed

15. The Debate Over Organic Certification For Aquatic Animals
a) Becky Mansfield uses "the debate over organic certification for aquatic animals" (216) in order to
enlighten the inconsistency of the organic movement's ideas (230). The organic community creates
standards that are supported by their ideas, but when the ideas become inconsistent and
contradictory, it becomes very clear that their standards are not set up on stable grounds.
b) The article was written in 2004, two years after the "first US National Organic Standards" was
implemented (216). This would have given researchers and anyone involved in the agriculture world
enough time to investigate the basis for the organic movements standards, and to judge whether or
not the standards were consistent and fair.
2) Purpose of the article
Becky Mansfield is arguing that it is difficult to distinguish whether a product of agriculture can
have organic status or not. She has observed "the debate over organic certification for aquatic
animals" (216) from every angle, and believes that the organic movement holds contradictory
ideologies. These contradictions act as blockages for the attribution of organic status to wild fish,
because the fish do not fall in any of the categories that the organic movement considers suitable for
organic status. But as Becky expresses a dialogue between the organic movement and others
involved in all realms of agriculture, it becomes obvious that it is not a problem of the inherent
environments of the fish, but a problem of classification of the

from the best places in the world. For example, fair trade bananas were from Costa–Rica and
Venezuela, wines were from vineyards in France, Spain, Australia and cheese was from England and
France.
On entering the store, I came across the bakery section that had products ranging from gluten–free
bread, cookies, cakes, muffins, seasonal pies and buns. All products were freshly baked in store and
displayed for customers to purchase. One could see the bakers mixing the ingredients, rolling and
shaping the dough, placing it in the oven, packaging and labelling the fresh bread. The preparation
area was clean and visible for all customers to see. The breads were displayed on a brown rusty
table that gave the product a natural and organic feel. Product labels used for the bread were light
brown in colour adding to the rustic organic feel Whole Foods Market sells to their customers. All
ingredients used to make the bread were all natural organic ingredients.
In the wine section, although the wines have been bottled on delivery to the store, the sommeliers or
wine stewards in the store placed the wines in wooden boxes afterwards packaging and

22. Case Study Of Monsanto
I. INTRODUCTION
The fact that Monsanto was so easy to penetrate Vietnamese agricultural market not only question a
huge number of social activists but also surprise many Vietnamese citizens including me. Monsanto
was one of the main suppliers of Agent Orange – a military herbicide used in America – Vietnam
war from 1965–1969, which has been causing millions of hectare deforesting as well as thousands
of deaths and millions of malformation cases in Vietnam (Monsanto, 2009). Now Monsanto
changed their business to agriculture sector, who "focus on agriculture working to find sustainable
agriculture solutions" (Monsanto, 2009) and are selling genetically modified (GM) seeds to
Vietnamese farmers. The problem is that a reliable conclusion on GM seeds' benefits and hazards
are still of highly controversial topic.
In fact, although Monsanto said GM seeds would help to solve the problem of food shortage, a great
deal of people believe they have the potential risks of causing fetal diseases to human beings and
spoiling the environment (British Medical Association, 2004). Combining with its bad history and
reputation in Vietnam, no one has found a complete answer to how and why they could enter

Strategic alliances advantages and disadvantages can be many different things when it comes to
business partnerships. Strategic alliances can be for a good or bad partnership, where two or more
firms choose to work together, to combine corporation ideas and technologies for mutual benefit.
We call this a cooperative strategy to advance creating a relationship with trust between
corporations. The alliance creates an opportunity to make mutual benefits with cost reductions of
shared fixed costs, combined resources, and research possibilities with both corporations working
together as a team. Cooperation is usually always the best way to achieve goals. If corporations have

Many companies find that the centralization of operations leads to inefficiencies in decision making.
The mechanistic structure has advantages when the environment is more stable, because it allows
companies around the world to produce uniform products at minimum costs. Their employees
usually work separately and specialize in only one task at hand, and every worker is assigned a
specific repetitive task. The mechanistic structure is more of an advantage to the new ventures when
it comes down to it because; new businesses often suffer from a lack of structure. New ventures can
achieve better performance starting out as a new company with the help of the structure it would
receive from the presence of a mechanistic structure. Organic structures are flexible, decentralized
structures with low levels of reinforcement and a lack of formally defined tasks. Decentralized
companies give more authority to lower–level employees, resulting in a sense of empowerment.
Decisions can be made more quickly, and employees often believe that decentralized companies
provide greater levels of equality to employees. Employees that work for an organic structure tend
to be more satisfied with their organization. Employees work in areas where they are comfortable
and with their own levels of expertise, but usually have non–routine tasks. Organic structures are

24. Making A Band Or Start Writing Music
When people create a band or start writing music, they want money. In the early 20th century, artists
were not receiving the royalties that they should have earned. Enter the first Performing Rights
Organization which is also called a PRO that promised what the artist should be earning, money.
PROs were fine until the organizations realized how much money they can earn. PROs exist for a
reason, but the cost of the license, why they are "non–profit", and why the artist has to sign with
PRO's that make PROs truly evil. In February 1914, the first PRO in the United States was formed.
Music writers came together and The American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers was
formed. The ASCAP sought out artists, composers, and publishers to ... Show more content on

But not all of the artists are under one PRO, so the person must buy a license from each PRO that
represents the artist's music that they would be playing (Public Performance Licenses and Music for
Your Small Business). If the person thinks they can get away with not paying, think again. PROs are
always in court suing small businesses for copyright infringement. On average, the lawsuit ends up
being $700–$30,000 depending on the severity of the infringement. Depending on what license they
are applying for, the cost varies. License fees range from $300–$500 and could cost more depending
on some variables like if the music would be for a dance studio or for a church (Public Performance
Licenses and Music for Your Small Business). A PRO might sound like a good thing, right? But
you're wrong because the PROs goal is to make a profit for the company. An organization's job is to
make money, and then they pay taxes on the revenue they receive. If an organization says they are
non–profit, they usually do not have to pay taxes on the revenue they earn. PROs like ASCAP and
BMI say they are non–profit, which means more profit for the artist, right? Wrong (Why You
Should Think Twice Before Joining ASCAP, BMI or SESAC). Members of the ASCAP earn 86.5
cent for every dollar that the ASCAP earns. But isn't the other 13.5 cents profit? But PROs do that
for one specific reason, to trap artist. The

In a first part, we will try to understand the impact on culture on consumption and then the need to
look at each country particularly. Then we will discuss the main factors that influence the consumers
that is to say: attitudes, values and motivations (combined with socio–demographic factors).
Eventually, we will present and analyse the research we decided to base our study on in order to
develop the constructs and the propositions of the conceptual framework.
1 Market development and cultural factors.
1.1 Culture influences the food choice.
The most primary factor that gives a direction to an individual is certainly is culture or region of
origin. Solomon (1991, chap 15) defines it as "a society 's personality". It 's the sharing among a
population of traditions, norms, beliefs and attitudes in one country or in one specific region.
Culture is the first socio–demographic factor that would affect the decision to purchase. Socio–
28. demographic factors (Mac Carthy and Perreault, 1990, p79–81) are the dimensions that affect the
consumer act of purchase in a specific consumption context. The typical ways to segment and define
consumers are presented in the exhibit 1: the socio–demographic factors.
Regarding this postulate, we can assume that the behaviour will be different from a country to
another. For instance, Aarset et. Al (2004) highlighted that from a country to another, organic
products are not seen to be

29. Macro-Environmental Analysis for Marketing
The "Vital Foods" Yoghurt Company was established in 1995 by two farmers who wanted to create
wholesome, natural, organic and nutritiously delicious yoghurt for the active and time poor.
Founded on the dairy plains of Victoria, "Vital Foods" is fast becoming one the premier yoghurt
manufacturers and have asked that their new product be marketed correctly.
As each type of product has its own target market, we must ensure that this market is properly
researched, analysed and have an appropriate strategy to implement. A market by definition and be
surmised at being "the set of all actual and potential buyers of a product" (Kotler, 1998). The
yoghurt market consists of all the actual and potential buyers of yoghurt products.

As well as this, utilizing the "Australian owned" brand, will further influence those who have a
strong sense of patriotism.
Natural environment
Kolter et al defines the natural environment as "natural resources that are needed as inputs by
marketers or that are affected by marketing activities". In today's society, the presence of planet
preservation is continuing to grow and become a forefront in the public's mind. Consumers are
becoming increasingly aware of the activities of the industrialised manufacturing. As "Vital Foods"
is completely dependent on the natural environment for their product, the potential to use this aspect
is quite significant to their marketing strategy.
Today's consumer is more informed, more aware and more intuitive to the ways in which their
goods are manufactured. This state of mind places great control in the hands of the consumer who
can boycott particular products, such as the CSR sugar boycott in Werribee, Victoria (Banner 1998).
Such issues that would affect the manufacture of yoghurt would be the nature of the treatment of
dairy cows, use of chemicals or hormones to stimulate production, the effect of operating the dairy
farm and its impact on soil nutrient depletion and even usage of water around the farm.
"Vital Foods" may wish to structure their campaign around

A contaminated land is a land which contains substances that are actually or potentially hazardous to
health or the environment. Land can also be defined as contaminated if only there is significant
pollutant linkage. This means that, there must be: * an evidence of the presence of a contaminant, a
pathway and a receptor that might suffer ''significant harm'', * a ''significant possibility of significant
harm'', * Signs that pollution of control waters is occurring or is likely to occur.

* Improper household and industrial septic system and management and maintenance of the system
* Leakages from sanitary sewage unto adjourning lands. * Acid rains, when fumes released from
industries get mixed with rains.
Fuel leakages from automobiles, that gets washed away due to rain and seep into the nearby land or
soil.
* Unhealthy waste management techniques, which are characterized by release of sewage into the
large dumping grounds and nearby streams or rivers. * There are possibilities of accidental spills
from oil refineries, illegal landfill sites, petrol stations gas works, etc.
The Potential contaminants with industrial uses which are used for assessment of industrial land are
organic contaminants and inorganic contaminants. The potential organic contaminants include
acetone, oil or fuel hydrocarbons, benzene, chlorophenols, ethylbenzene, toluene, etc. of lands.
Their receptors are mostly Humans, Water, Vegetation and the Ecosystem and construction materials
or buildings.
The potential inorganic contaminants which can also be found in contaminated lands are metals,
semi–metals and non–metals and inorganic chemicals. Examples of metals present in the soil are
Barium, berrillium, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead and zinc.
Semi–metals and the non–metals include Arsenic, Boron,

President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
"Dreams float on an impatient wind, A wind that wants to create a new order. An order of strength
and thundering of fire." –– from a poem written by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is the undisputed father of India's missile program. He has breathed life into
ballistic missiles like the Agni and Prithvi, which put China and Pakistan well under India's missile
range. It is too exhausting to track Dr Abdul Kalam's achievements to date. In the '60s and '70s he
was a trail blazer in the space department. In the '80s he transformed the moribund Defence
Research and Development Laboratory in Hyderabad into a highly motivated team. By the '90s
Kalam emerged as the czar of Indian science and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After that, he undertook a preliminary design study on Human Centrifuge. He designed and
developed a vertical takeoff and landing platform, and Hot Cockpit. Three years later, the
Aeronautical Development Establishment(ADE) was formed in Bangalore and he was posted there.
At ADE, Kalam served as a senior scientific assistant, heading a small team that developed a
prototype hovercraft. Defence Minister Krishna Menon rode in India's first indigenous hovercraft
with Kalam at the controls. But for reasons never explained, the project which would have been a
considerable international achievement in those days, was not encouraged. This was probably one of
the reasons why he moved out of ADE in 1962 and joined India's space program.
During 1963–82, he served the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) in various capacities.
Here Kalam initiated Fibre Reinforced Plastics(FRP) activities, then after a stint with the
aerodynamics and design group, he joined the satellite launch vehicle team at Thumba, near
Trivandram and soon became Project Director for SLV–3. As Project Director, he was responsible
for carrying out the design, development, qualification and flight testing of 44 major sub systems.

proposal, Technology, Blessing or Curse & Beyond the age of Consumerism. 1: Introduction to
International Aid: International aid is an act of good favour which one country gives support and
reinforcements to foreign countries. The purpose and goal is to include economic development,
increasing government accountability, improved healthcare, proper sanitation & water, education
and creditability. Such international aid also includes extra support to natural disasters and crises.
These free flows of aid from those countries are critical for many struggling nations. As for today's
context, global poverty poses a challenge to the security, wealth, and morals of Australia. Currently,
nearly 40% of the world 's population, approximately 2.7 billion people live in poverty, struggling to
survive on less than $2 per day. The Australian Government's aid program has been put in place to
promote it's national interests through committing towards the economic development and to
prevent a nation from poverty. The aid program will contribute to Australia's broader economic

Rank Group defies Brexit with impressive profit increase While Brexit has rocked a number of
major online gambling industry names, it seems that Rank Group has managed to remain strong. In
fact, it can even be argued that Rank Group has gone beyond what it was expected financially

fresh digital–focused strategy, it appears that Rank Group is defying doubters across the board. The
report, which details final results for the year to 30th June, shows that their profit before taxation
was a very healthy £85.5 million, which is a notable increase on the £74.5 million posted the year

39. Consumerisms And Consumerisms
In the last several decades, consumerists have raised several issues regarding the safety of GMOs
and have challenged the practice as unpredictable. Biotechnological engineers use selective
strategies to select the desired gene. This process is conducted by well educated scientists who
spend many years in the field of research. There are a series of protocols that a genetically modified
organism must undergo to be permitted for human consumption. Bernadette Dunham, director of the
agency's Center for Veterinary Medicine, said that "The F.D.A. has thoroughly analyzed and
evaluated the data and information submitted by AquaBounty regarding the AquAdvantage salmon
and determined that they have met the regulatory requirements for approval, including that food
from the fish is safe to eat" (Commissioner, 2015). The process of selecting individual genes is a
lengthy process and because of this many argue as to its unpredictability. It is something that people
do not understand and, like in times past, fear and persecute the practice.
Undoubtedly everyone of these persecutors has received in some kind of form a vaccination at one
time in their life. The study and application of vaccinations have saved millions lives worldwide.
When there were negative side effects the world did not simply chose to eliminate them. Instead of
the elimination of vaccines, governmental figures and politicians have chosen to invest more time
and money into this research which has helped insure public safety worldwide (Magnan, 2017). In
the twenty first century, mankind is blessed with more varieties of safe vaccinations. These
investments has even resulted to be able to administer vaccinations such as the flu shot every year.
Imagine if man had chosen to give up with the investment of these studies. Poliomyelitis was
destroyed solely by this research (Alexander, 2012, p.14). Despite consequential vaccination
induced illnesses such as Guillain–Barré Syndrome and oculomotor palsy, there have never been
such signs associated with the use and consumption of genetically modified organisms. President
Philip Nelson (2012) from the Illinois Farm Bureau wrote "biotech crops have been researched,
