Queen Liliuokalani was the last
monarch and only queen of
Hawaii.
Her mission was to preserve the
islands for their native
residents.
In 1898 Hawaii became part of
the United States and she was
forced to give up her throne.
4. When?
Queen Liliuokalani was born September 2nd, 1838 and died
November 11th, 1917.
She was one of fifteen children.
On September 16th, 1862 she got married to John Owen
Dominis.
She inherited the throne from her brother and his name is
Kalakaua on January 29th, 1891
Her reign over Paradise Islands lasted just two years.
