This document presents a project on an automatic tractor-driven fertilizer spreader. It consists of a hopper, spreader disc, bevel gears, and other components. The spreader spreads fertilizer over land without human work by transmitting power from a tractor engine to the spreader's shaft. Fertilizer flows from the hopper and is spread outward by centrifugal force through vanes on the rotating disc. The document discusses the construction, working, assembly, manufacturing processes, costs, advantages, disadvantages, applications, and concludes the spreader enhances operational safety and fertilizer spreading width increases with higher speeds.

3. ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project is to spread out the fertilizer over land
without human work.
It is an tractor driven fertilizer spreader in which the torque is
transmitted from tractor engine shaft to machine shaft.
When the machine shaft rotate the blades inside the hopper and
spreader disc also rotate.
Fertilizer contain in the hopper is flow downward direction due to
gravity and spread the fertilizer through vanes due to centrifugal
force created outside the disc.
The control mechanism is used for control the flow of fertilizer.
With maximum speed of shaft maximum force is created outside the
disc due to which large area of land is covered by fertilizer.
4. INTRODUCTION
This project is very useful for agricultural service to spread out the fertilizer
automatically over the land. It mainly consist of reservoir tank, bevel gears,
circular spreader disc, supporting mechanism, vanes, bearings, bearing housing,
resisting plate, mixing blades.
It is an tractor driven automatic fertilizer spreader in which the power is
transmitted from tractor PTO shaft to machine shaft.
The rotating shaft of tractor is connected to engine through which power is
transmitted to machine shaft.
Spreader disc connected to machine shaft below the hopper and above the bevel
gear.
The vanes are attached over the plate in four direction to spread out the fertilizer
when centrifugal force is created outside the disc.
When the tractor shaft rotate the machine shaft rotate in which mixing
blade, spreader disc also rotate due to fertilizer flow in downward direction and
disc spread the fertilizer through the vanes.

6. Large spreading area can be cover.
7. Large storage capacity.
8. High working width with maximum speed.
9. Less time required for spread.
10. Less maintenance cost.
11. DISADVANTAGES
1. High initial cost.
2. Working width is less at minimum speed.
3. More friction losses if lubrication is not provided.
12. APPLICATIONS
1. It is used to spread the organic fertilizer.
2. It is used to spread the chemical fertilizer.
3. It is used to spread the annulose fertilizer.
4. It is used to spread the beans.
5. It is used to spread the wheats.
6. It is used to spread the millets.
7. It is used to spread the onion seeds.
13. CONCLUSION
Automatic fertilizer spreader is a machine which spread the
fertilizer.
In order to enhance the operational safety ,reliability, proper
maintenance is essential required.
Mechanical joints are used transmit the torque / power between the
two shaft.
With increase in sped of circular disc the working width of
spreading fertilizer will be increase.
