+ How will I adapt JEOPARDY
resource?
 Students will be split into two teams (Red Team and Green Team).
 Teams will take turns selecting questions from different categories with differing
values.
 All questions will be based on grammar but categories could include from
punctuation; sentences, fragments, and run-ons; capitalization; subject-verb
agreement; etc.
 Questions will consist of incorrectly formulated paragraphs or sentences
(depending on value of question) in varying degrees of difficulty.
 Students will have to choose the response that correctly revises the sentence.
 The team with the highest percentage of correct responses will earn the points
for that question AND the opportunity to choose the next category.
+ How does this lesson support
Universal Design?
 Auditory output will be heard clearly by all students.
 Each student will have a direct line of sight to the visual output (the SMART
Board itself).
 Students will not miss important information if they can’t see because
questions will be read out loud.
 All text will be provided in digital format.
 Captions will be provided for all audio.
 Explicit strategies will be included to make clear the goals and methods of
instruction.
