Vehicle Driving (Bus and
Coach) Apprenticeship
Level 2/3
This level 2 programme is suitable for anyone working in or about to enter the
sector – it will improve their personal skills and knowledge in a broad range of
competencies. At level 2 the candidate will develop and subsequently demonstrate their ability to
competently perform a wide range of role specific activities.
This framework is made up of 4 core elements.
• L2 BTEC Award in the Knowledge for the Professional Bus and Coach Driver
• L2 NVQ in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving
• L1 Key or Functional Skill – Communication
• L1 Key or Functional Skill – Application of Number
This award can be used as a stepping stone to higher levels of training/working.
Course Duration:
An Apprenticeship is normally delivered as a bespoke programme over a period of 12 months.
