1. Dementia Awareness
Course Description:
This is a theory course and is designed for all care staff, domiciliary and day care staff and
healthcare assistant’s that work within social care services. It will be invaluable for carers,
supervisors, trainers and managers working with older people and vulnerable adults and
service users living in their own home.
It will give learners the underpinning knowledge and appreciation of the different
approaches which can help you understand an individual’s experience and be able to
manage their care more effectively.
This course is based on Skills for Care guidelines and essential for care staff working within
the sector.
