 Huge site of tourism – more than a million tourists every
year
 800 miles of hiking and biking trails

 78.6% homeownership rate
 Median household income
(2006-2010): $32,161
 21.6% were considered living
in poverty in 2009

Almost Heaven Habitat for
Humanity
 House Construction
 Lots of hammering
 Roof work/Erecting walls
 Possibly interior development and painting, depending on
stage of construction process

5. Trip Logistics
 Only 16 spots available for the trip
 Traveling by car (about a 5.5 hour drive)
 Costs will be ~ $100-150
 Much of the trip costs will be covered through
fundraising during the semester
 It’s not all hammers and wood! WE WILL HAVE LOTS OF
FUN!!!
