2. Bedford Tack
 Bedford Tack sells a
variety of horse and farm
related Items. Some of
these items are, new and
used tack, horse show
apparel, horse shoes,
bits, Ect.
 Bedford Tack also provides a tack
repair service.
 Over the years, Bedford Tack has
acquired many hard working
employees, that provide labor, and
entrepreneurship.
 The opportunity cost of purchasing
a saddle form Bedford is that your
old saddle may still work, but a new
saddle will be much more
comfortable, but it will cost more
money.
 Bedford tack is a family owned and
operated business, therefore, a
trade off that was made is that
work becomes more than just a
work, it is an everyday family affair.
This can either cause stress or
closeness in a family.

3. Select Trailer Co.
 Select Trailer Co.
sells a verity of
horse trailers and
also provides trailer
repair.
 In order to run s successful business
this company requires land to keep
trailers on and employees for labor
and sales. Also, the company need
the proper capital which would be
the trailers that the customers want.
 Purchasing a trailer with out living
quarters will be much cheaper, but
will be much less comfortable for a
weekend of camping.
 In order to purchase enough trailers
to start the company the owner
may have gone into debt, which
could have shut down the
company before it had a chance
to be successful.

4. Midway Diner
 Midway Diner is a restaurant
providing homemade southern
comfort food.
 In order for Midway to be successful
it needs the proper labor, it needs
good cooks, and service providers
 A customer does not want to cook,
but the meal that they order may
not be their ideal Southern meal.
 The owner had to buy food to start
the restaurant, the battle is buying
food that is good quality but not
over priced. The balance between
quality food and prices would
make or break the Diner.

5. Sand Creek Farm
 Sand Creek Farm is a
Tennessee Walking Horse
training, breeding and
sales barn.
 The Farm requires plenty of land,
labor to keep up the property and
to work horses, also all of the
supplies to care for and train horses
properly.
 Putting a horse in training a
customer runs the risk of the horse
not being ridden as often as it
should, but when the horse is being
ridden it is under the supervision of a
professional.
 Buying the amount of land needed
for a farm of this size means a large
bank loan that put the company in
a sufficient amount of debt starting
debt. Taking the bank loan,
however, allowed the farm to open
its doors.

6. Shelbyville Farm Center:
Celebration Feeds
. The Shelbyville Farm
Center sells horse and
cattle feed, supplements,
and hay.
 In order to run properly, the
farm center needs the
products to sell and the labor
to load and deliver a
customer's purchase.
 Customers must pay the extra
cost for employees to load all
of their goods, but that means
that the customer does not
have to load their purchases
themselves.
 The owners of the Farm Center
must have low enough prices
so that people will shop there,
but high enough prices so that
the business can be successful.
