2. DENC Initiative
• Launched on February 25th, 2013 at the
Museum of Discovery to achieve
widespread deployment of plug-in electric
vehicles; generate awareness the benefits

9. Supporting Organizations
New Belgium Brewing Company: known for their innovative
environmentally friendly business model. Their fleet includes: two
hybrid electric delivery trucks, five Prius hybrid cars, and two Nissan
LEAFs that have reduced GHG emissions by 53% per mile since 2006.
They have also installed two free on-site charging stations.
CSU: partnered with DENC since both organizations are alike in their
clean energy development efforts. CSU installed 10 free charging
stations throughout campus.
Schneider Electric: founded in 1836, offer both indoor home and
outdoor commercial electric vehicle charging stations. ns to make the
most of their energy.
Tynan’s Nissan: very involved with the promoting their “green” LEAF
and installing fleet and public charging stations

Outreach
• Seventeen employers committed to offering electric
vehicle charging stations at the workplace: Brinkman
Partners; City of Fort Collins; Colorado State
University; Brendle Group; Woodward Inc. (Nasdaq:
WWD); New Belgium Brewing Co.; Hewlett-Packard Co.
(NYSE: HPQ); Odell Brewing Co.; Platte River Power
Authority; Fort Collins Mitsubishi; Dellenbach
Motors; Davidson Gebhardt; Tynan’s; Co’s BMW
Center; Spirae; Colorado Clean Energy Cluster;
and Ken’s Muffler & Brake. The announcement was
made at Spirae whose charging equipment will be
partially powered by solar panels as part of Spirae’s
plan to provide a net-zero-impact facility.
18. Drive Leadership Campaign
• Pastor Woody heard about DENC from
the local newspaper and contacted the
program because he wanted to spread the
word about going electric.
• The first step to promoting the use of
electric vehicles at his church was to
install charging stations.

20. Ride & Drives
The Ride & Drive events feature volunteers
for the DENC and cars “donated” by local
dealerships to increase the overall
knowledge and awareness of electric
vehicles. These events create a high
conversion rate from conventional to electric
vehicle users as well as direct visitors to the
website for more information.
