Students are instructed to research their state's laws on various end-of-life medical directives and create a presentation covering Living Wills, Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders, Power of Attorney, spouse or partner rights, and euthanasia. The presentation should have a title slide and 1-2 slides for each topic, addressing who needs to sign the documents, if a medical evaluation is required, if the documents expire, the rights they provide, and what treatment options they cover. It should also include 4-6 slides on active, passive, voluntary, and involuntary euthanasia and 1-2 slides on the Patient Self-Determination Act of 1990.
