Protection of the environment is a serious issue that confronts business managers and
decision makers.
Pollution changes the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of air, land and
water.
Pollution harms human life and the life of other species.
Protection of the environment is directly related to the control of pollution.
Wastes contain pollutants which are the materials of chemicals that have been discarded
during the process ofproductionor consumption.
Pollution is caused by the pollutants which are released in to the environment beyond
its assimilation capacity.
Many business enterprises have been responsible for causing air,water,land and noise
pollution.
Air pollution is the result of a combination of factors which lowers the quality of air.
Water becomes polluted primarily from chemical and waste dumping.

annoyance, but is also a serious health hazard.

goods and services are known to be the most critical sources of environmental pollution
problems .
To generate an idea about the conceptpollution and enable them to classify the various causes
of pollution through brain storming, general discussionand group discussion.

4. PHASE I : INTRODUCTORY PHASE
Activity (General Discussion)
After the routine class room practices teacher showed some pictures on
harmful things happening in the environment. Teacher asks students how are
these caused.
Thus teacher introduced the concept environmental pollution.

Activity: (Brain storming)
Teacher asks students to think about the types of pollution.
After thinking, teacher points out randomly each one to say their
findings.

Teacher divides the class in to groups and asks the students
to discuss about the various causes of pollution and how the each type of
pollution is caused.
Students start thinking.

7. After the discussion , teacher asks students to present the points discussed
