expensive process. Collection of
data, it analysis, interpretation
etc.. involves considerable time
and money.

Most people generally do not like changes.
They resist change due to fear of failure
and uncertainty. Unless the required
changes are made, planning may be
ineffective.

Planning may create false sense
of security in the organization
that everything is going well. It
affects independent thinking
and creativity of managers.
6. 5. Inflexibility
Planning implies
predetermination of policies,
procedures and programmes.
Employees are required to work
strictly adhering to this. It
restricts the individual skill,
initiative and creativity.
