I. Executive Board
President of BTV/Station manager Oversees BTV entirely, chairs eboard, final decision‐maker on big issues
President of BTVprogramming/Programming Director Oversees BTVprogramming entirely, controls and designs the BTV channel
President of BTVproduction/Executive Producer Oversees BTVproduction entirely, leads production managers, develops production resources
Vice President of Finance Oversees BTV account, signs off on expenditures, compiles budget, spends cleverly
Vice President of Publicity and Marketing Oversees publicity and marketing, makes BTV a powerful presence on campus, online, etc.
Vice President of Web Affairs Oversees all browntv.org web affairs, including design, content, feature development
Secretary Administrative collaborator with President, takes minutes, organizes materials (non‐voting)
II. Station (Business)
Station manager/President of BTV Sits on political boards—main function to establish partnerships and positive community
relations
‐Secretary Administrative collaborator and adviser to Station Manager, takes minutes, organizes materials
‐Historian Ensures preservation of institutional memory of BTV, takes photos/video or BTV events.
Vice President of Finance (cont.) Handles all financial income and export for BTV, maintains records, petitions UFB,
financial planning, creation of multiple spending plans.
‐Fundraising Coordinator Holds fundraisers, finds innovative ways to accrue funds and built the BTV safe.
‐Grants and Sponsorship Researches and applies for grants and goes to companies, departments, and organizations striking
sponsorship deals.
Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing Also works to create public image of BTV—very aggressive individual needed.
Assistant Vice President of PR and Marketing Assists in the above and below tasks to the best of his/her ability.
‐BTV Publicity Field Team Postering, tabeslipping,
‐Merchandising Develop BTV merchandise (pins, pens, shirts, sweaters) for sale and publicity—see WBRU strategies
‐Graphic Design Design Posters, online graphics, tableslips, banners, etc.
‐Internal Video Director Conceptualize, write, shoot, and edit BTV promotional and institutional videos.
‐Alumnae Relations Maintain positive relations with the alumnae database and keep them savvy on BTV.
‐Media Relations Get BTV in campus, local, and national media‐‐‐radio, television, press, digg, and so on.
‐Social Media Director Ensuring BTV’s active, lively presence on Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Youtube,
‐Event Coordinator Help organize the premiers of shows, develop Brownie Awards, host parties.
Vice President of Web Affairs (webmaster) See description in Eboard List
‐Web Designer Work with the President and the Eboard to design the browntv.org website in an interesting way
‐Web Content Keep the blog up to date and active, develop interesting web content (ie: polls)
‐Web Video Manager (programming position) Part of the Programming division. Ensures videos are promptly on demand and on the btv channel

III. Programming (Television)
Programming Director/President of BTVprogramming— Primary advocate of televisual progress on campus. Forms partnerships with university to get BTV
broadcasting across campus, leads team that creates BTV schedule, final say on programming
issues including themes, time slots, live show placement, equipment accrual. Promotes the
television industry and professional resources to get into it.
‐Assistant Programming Director Assists in every way with the goals of the Programming Director and Programming division
‐Program Team Creates, distributes, and evaluates the efficacy of the BTV programming schedule.
Chief Control Room Operator Head Livestream technician. Ultimately responsible for the day‐to‐day physical manning of the
broadcast.
‐Control Room Operator (VJ) Operates Livestream, including live graphics, ticker, live show transitions, special effects, sound—
essentially a video dj for BTV. You create your own station.
Web Video Manager Ensures that all programming is available on demand and uploaded to Livestream.
‐Web Video Tech Team Helps with the above duties.
Content Expansion Coordinator Works with student organization, Ivy League Schools, internet video sites, the tv industry, Brown,
MCM, IFF, RISD, and others to accrue interesting, relevant programming for BTV.
‐Content Expansion Team Works as a team to achieve the above duties.
IV. Production
Executive Producer Primary advocate of production on campus, leads production managers in developing resources, keeps tabs on
progress of shows, networks with Publicity for premieres and Programming for exhibition. Reviews new show
proposals and accepts/denies them.
Series Production Manager Manages series producers, develops resources, advocates on their behalf
Studio Production Manager Sets up and manages studio production, manages live shows, develops resources
Event Production Manager $$$ Sets up and manages BTV videography business. HIGH responsibility.
‐Videographer $$$ This is not an official BTV office or position, but a way to get assigned BTV jobs.
‐Video Yearbook Coordinator $$$ Sets up and executes the year‐long production of the Brown University Video Yearbook and
coordinates the end‐of‐year sales of that product.
Doc‐Narrative Production Manager Manages documentary and narrative producers, develops doc‐narrative resources
‐Film‐A‐Month Club President Sets up film‐a‐month club, which writes, shoots, edits and scores a film in 30 days.
Ad Production Manager $$$ Runs the BTV ad production business, from graphics to slideshows to web commercials. HIGH
responsibility needed.
Producer BTV Liaison with productions. Help a show get from beginning to end. Organizer.

Technical Director Ensures health and safety of BTV equipment, recommends new purchases
