The Video Editor is responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:
The Lucasfilm Editor will help develop and creatively oversee Lucasfilm A/V materials to support all of Lucasfilm’s franchise departments including Consumer Products, Publishing, Marketing, Games, Promotions, Marketing and more. The Editor will be a part of Disney’s creative team, known as “The Hive”, who manages and develops creative marketing assets in support of Global Theatrical and In-home releases.
This position will perform editorial work specifically for Lucasfilm creative content including but not limited to sizzle reels, game launches, corporate reels, conferences / trade shows, consumer products, and more.
Responsibilities
• Edit and create TV spots, special content and in-house reels for all Lucasfilm franchise projects.
• Act as a creative voice for Lucasfilm, writer and producer in the creation of marketing materials, as well as in-house reels and other content.
• Partner with Studio Marketing Creative Executives and Brand Leads to manage development of creative marketing assets.
• Exhibit extensive knowledge of AVID and editing tools used in the creation of marketing materials.
• Exhibit extensive knowledge of music and sound design as it pertains to movie marketing.
• Assist in providing finishing department with the elements they need to finish all marketing materials.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years’ experience with editing theatrical marketing materials
