This contract is between Brown University Student Television (BTV) and a Brown University affiliated entity for the rental of BTV equipment. The renting party agrees to take responsibility for any damages to the equipment and return it on time to avoid late fees. If equipment is lost or stolen, the renting party must report it immediately and may be financially responsible for replacing the item. Damages, lost, or stolen equipment may result in the suspension of future equipment rentals for the renting group. 1. Brown University Student Television (BTV)<br />Equipment Rental Contract<br />This Contract is between __________________________, a Brown University affiliated entity, and Brown University Student Television (BTV). No contracts will be made with individuals not affiliated with Brown University. <br />By signing below, I agree, on behalf of my group, to take full monetary responsibility for any damages incurred on the equipment borrowed during the time of my rental, as compared with the equipment status report at the end of this document. I agree to return the equipment on time, under penalty of a late fee to be determined by the executive board at the weekly Sunday meeting. The late fee may accumulate, and if the equipment is not returned within a week of the reservation without arrangements for such, will be reported as stolen. If any equipment is lost, I will report it immediately, within the day of my reservation, and if not found within a week, will compensate BTV monetarily for the item. If any equipment is thought to be stolen, alert BTV before you alert the authorities if it is prudent to do so. BTV will review the situation and determine a course of action, with monetary compensation a possibility. <br />Damages and lost or stolen equipment are grounds, but not necessarily direct consequences, for suspension of use of BTV equipment for the entire representative group or organization for an indefinite period of time. For all cases, the group will be subject to the penal code, not the individual. The signee below will be the primary contact.<br />In order for the late penalty fee to hold, BTV’s representatives must make themselves readily available for pickup and drop off. If not, this will be taken into consideration upon weekly review, if necessary.
