Tube Burst Tester / Tube Leak Tester

Method of Operation :
- Burst Test : Internal Pressure is increased till failure of seal / laminate.
- Leak Test : Tube is pressurized at low pressure and held in water.

Method of Operation (Empty or Filled Tube Burst Test):
1) For Filled Tubes, use as it. For Empty Tube Seal the tube with a Heat Sealer or Clamp the
open end with the mechanical clamp (optional accessory).
2) Attach appropriate tube adapter onto the Holder.
3) Screw tube into its adapter.
4) Invert Tube and Holder into the Burst Tank.
5) Press Start button.
6) The tube will be pressurized internally.
7) Adjust Flow / Pressure if required.
8) As soon as the tube bursts open, the air will be stopped AUTOMATICALLY. No need to
press the Stop button.
9) Note peak reading on Digital Display.
Method of Operation (Tube Leakage Test):
1) Seal the tube with an appropriate method.
2) Attach appropriate tube adapter onto the Holder.
3) Screw tube into its adapter.
4) Place a Glass Beaker inside the burst tank and fill it with water.
5) Invert Tube and Holder into the Burst Tank, such that the tube’s sealed end dips into water.
6) Press Start button.
7) The tube will be pressurized internally.
8) Adjust Pressure to 50% of known Burst Pressure or 0.2 Kg/cm2 (200 mbar).
9) Leakages (if any) will be seen as a constant stream of air bubbles.
Calibration Device :
• 4-20 mA MACS Calibrator Included.
Mili-Ampere Calibration Source / Current Loop Calibrator
For use with the above machine.
Utilities Required : a) Compressed Air @ 6-10 Kg/cm2 from your source.
