3. Matthew 19:4-6
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that
at the beginning the Creator ‘made
them male and female,’5 and said, ‘For
this reason a man will leave his father
and mother and be united to his wife,
and the two will become one flesh’?
6 So they are no longer two, but one
flesh. Therefore what God has joined
together, let no one separate.”

5. Ephesians 5:31-33
31 “For this reason a man will leave
his father and mother and be united
to his wife, and the two will become
one flesh.” 32 This is a profound
mystery—but I am talking about
Christ and the church. 33 However,
each one of you also must love his
wife as he loves himself, and the
wife must respect her husband.
6. CHRIST, the ‘HEAD’
of the husband: Lord
of the family
HUSBAND, the ‘HEAD’ of
the wife: chief authority
over the children
WIFE, the helpmeet to the
husband (Genesis 2:18):
secondary authority over the
children.
CHILDREN, obedient to parents
7. Genesis 2:18
The LORD God said,
“It is not good for the
man to be alone. I will
make a helper
suitable for him.”

9. 1 Corinthians 7:2
But since sexual immorality
is occurring, each man
should have sexual relations
with his own wife, and each
woman with her own
husband.

12. Romans 7:1-3
1 Do you not know, brothers and sisters—for I
am speaking to those who know the law—that
the law has authority over someone only as
long as that person lives? 2 For example, by
law a married woman is bound to her husband
as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies,
she is released from the law that binds her to
him. 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with
another man while her husband is still alive,
she is called an adulteress. But if her husband
dies, she is released from that law and is not an
adulteress if she marries another man.
